Fun for kids in Orlando
If there was ever a place where children could lose themselves in non-stop entertainment, it's Orlando.
Walt Disney World
If you have kids and you're off to Orlando, Walt Disney World is sure to be right at the top of your list of things to do.
Even if you don't make it to the other theme parks in the city, this monolith of an entertainment resort just keeps the
attractions, the rides, the shows and the various "kingdoms" coming. Take a stroll with Winne the Pooh through Magic
Kingdom Park where you can also come face-to-face with Buzz Lightyear and then watch parades featuring classical
fantasy characters like Snow White and Peter Pan. Visit Mickey's Toontown, Fantasyland and Adventureland for a whimsical
experience to delight every child's imagination.
Gatorland
This self-proclaimed "alligator capital of the world" is as horrifying as it is delightful. To a child, it's
an experience of a lifetime. The huge alligator head with its sharp white teeth at the entrance is sure to thrill
the kids even before they lay their eyes on the real things. On the go since 1949, Gatorland now attracts hundreds
of visitors a day with its petting zoo, a real breeding area that you can walk through, a walk through swamps and a
show featuring the toothy residents. Kids can ask Ally Gator questions about alligators and she'll happily answer them.
The Trainer for a Day tour outlines what it takes to work with alligators everyday and the Gator Night Shine is an exciting
adventure around the grounds at night.
Hot air balloon rides
There can't be many things more exciting than launching from the ground in a hot-air balloon.
